Lance Cpl. Nick Trevino, a motor transport operator with Support Company, 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, slides a piece of wood under the roof of a cabin to help support the fragile structure at Keys Ranch in Joshua Tree National Park Jan. 28. Trevino and 13 other Marines and sailors volunteered to help restore the cabin which had succumbed to the harsh climate of the Mojave Desert and remove unwanted vegetation from the ranch.
