MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CENTER, Calif. -- A Marine assigned to Tactical Training Exercise Control Group died today, July 28, 2024. He was involved in a vehicle rollover with a high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle on July 27, 2024, at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center.
The Marine was treated at Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital, Twentynine Palms and medically evacuated to Desert Regional Medical Center, Palm Springs, CA where medical authorities pronounced the Marine deceased, today. The incident occurred during Service Level Training Exercise 5-24.
No other Marines were injured.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the Marine during this difficult time.
The identity of the deceased service member will not be released until 24 hours after all next-of-kin notifications have been completed. The cause of the rollover is under investigation.
