The Combat Center’s Headquarters Battalion conducted a unit run led by Sgt. Maj. Avery L. Crespin, sergeant major, Headquarters Battalion, aboard the Combat Center, Jan. 15, 2016.

The purpose of the run was to foster camaraderie and motivation within the battalion. Crespin also reflected on Martin Luther King Jr. Day with this quote from King; “If you can’t fly, run. If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl. But whatever you do, don’t stop moving forward.” Crespin explained the importance of these words to the Marines present, telling them to keep working hard and improving upon themselves.
