Combat Center Slated to Exercise Active Shooter Scenario

Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms is slated to exercise its active shooter response and recovery plan at 10 a.m., Sept. 5, 2019 at the Adult Medical Care Center, Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms. The exercise is being modeled after past active shooter events to include the Las Vegas Massacre, the Pulse Nightclub, Virginia Tech, and the Washington Naval Shipyard.

Marines conduct live-fire training exercise in Johnson Valley

A decision by the Federal Aviation Administration to establish a Controlled Firing Area over the Johnson Valley Exclusive Military Use Area paved the way for Marines of India Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, 7th Marine Regiment, to make history Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, when they conducted a live-fire training exercise in the area.

Joint EOD Students Push Towards Success

“The overall course is 20 training days long,” said Chief Warrant Officer 2 Steve Tamm, EOD Operations Officer, EOD Advanced Training Center. “During that time they learn about different aspects on how to supervise an EOD response element.”
