PER- AND POLYFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES (PFAS) AT MCAGCC

Drinking Water Program:

We are voluntarily testing the Base drinking water supply for PFAS twice per year.

We test treated water (what comes out of your tap) from the on-base water treatment plant and raw groundwater (water before treatment) from our 13 supply wells.

PFOA and PFOS in on-base drinking water have not been detected above the EPA lifetime health advisory.

Lead Service Line Inventory

MCAGCC has conducted a lead line survey of all drinking water lines on MCAGCC. During this extensive survey, no lead lines were identified. For more information, please call the Public Works Division at 760-830-7795.

The Environmental Affairs (EA) Division is staffed with experts in the fields of environmental management and conservation. These individuals are devoted to providing the resources and expertise that allow the Combat Center to consider all aspects of the environment in the planning and implementation of advanced training and exercises, while fulfilling the role as stewards of the environment.

Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MAGTFTC), Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) is proud to present the 2023 Annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR).

Under the CCR Rule of the federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), and the America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018, community water systems with a population greater than 10,000 are required to report water quality information to the consuming public twice a year. The 2022 annual CCR covers all drinking water testing completed from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023 (12 months of data).

As always, MAGTFTC, MCAGCC is committed to delivering the best quality drinking water to all base personnel. Through continued vigilance, we provide source water protection, water conservation and community education while ensuring the needs of all our water users.

The Environmental Compliance & Protection Standard Operating Procedure (ECPSOP) is published as guidance to ensure that Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) can perform its mission in an environmentally responsible manner. The Combat Center’s Environmental Management System (EMS) provides a systematic approach to ensure activities aboard Combat Center are well managed & continually improve with respect to environmentally-related risks to the mission.

Combat Center Environmental Orders, linked below, have concurrence from all subordinate commands/organizations and tenant commands, and serve as the "Do" portion of the Plan-Do-Check-Act model required for EMS implementation. These Orders, along with Environmental Standard Operating Procedures (ESOP) provide specific Combat Center requirements.

The Comprehensive Environmental Training Educational Program (CETEP) information serves as the training element of EMS, and ensures that training and information are available, efficient, and effective in preparing personnel to competently perform the environmental responsibilities that are part of their primary jobs -- thereby, supporting HQMC and MCAGCC environmental targets and objectives.
