Sgt. David J. Lang, a combat engineer with Company A, 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, was selected as the noncommissioned officer of the year by the Marine Corps Engineer Association July 9. Lang and his squad found innovative and unconventional ways to accomplish their mission despite being under-manned and under-equipped while deployed to Afghanistan last year.::r::::n:: - Sgt.
