INCREASE IN MILITARY TRAINING NOISE DUE TO TRAINING
23 Jan 2026

MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CENTER, Calif.- There will be an increase in military training noise due to Marines participating in Service Level Training Exercise 1-26 here, from 22 January to 23 February 2026.

During training, sound from the base may travel farther than usual due to changes in atmospheric conditions.

SLTE is a series of separate exercises designed to prepare the Marine Air Ground Task Force to respond to crises and conflicts around the globe by increasing their ability to integrate actions across the full range of military operations.

To report any concerns about training noises, visit our Sound Reporting webpage at https://29palms.marines.mil/Staff-Offices/Government-and-External-Affairs/Sound-Reporting/ and fill out our form.
