When the snow melts off the Sierra Nevada peaks and the trails reopen, the Marines and Sailors at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center trade skis for ropes, packs, and rock faces. Marines with Scout Platoon of the Weapons Company of the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, along with a British Royal Marine Commando Sniper Team, and sniper instructors from II MEF EOTG , conducted a Fleet Experimental Exercise at Range 215, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, California, from September 16 through October 3, 2025.The exercise included threat and technology training, as well as force-on-force exercises, to develop advanced counter-sniper tactics, techniques, and procedures.During the exercise, technology and tactics were developed that facilitated Marine Counter Sniper capabilities that unmask potential sniper threat positions, observers or anyone conducting surveillance.“This U.S.–U.K.

Staff noncommissioned officers and officers with 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force and 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force hosted a Warrior’s Night to celebrate the end of Service Level Training Exercise 4-25 at The Combat Center Brass & Rockers restaurant, Aug. 26, 2025.
