Yes. The Twentynine Palms Base Veterinary Treatment Facility is located in Building 1028 on Calcite Rd. 

The facility is open Monday through Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Thursdays and all Federal Holidays.

The Combat Center and surrounding communities are served by a single school district, the Morongo Unified School District. MUSD comprises 11 elementary schools, two middle schools and two comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, two state preschool programs and a special education preschool program.

The Legal Services Support Team offers the following services: notary, power of attorney, wills, family law, immigration and citizenship, and consumer law. They do not handle bankruptcy, criminal law, traffic tickets, civilian restraining orders, or matters against the Armed Forces or government entities.

Location: Bldg 1514, across from the base theater and between the Main MCX and Frontwave Credit Union.

The base post office is located at 1435 Sturgis St, Bldg 1435. It is open 1000 - 1300 and 1430 - 1630, Monday through Friday and closed Saturdays, Sundays and all US Holidays.

Customers can mail packages and letters and purchase stamps at the office. Money orders are also available for purchase. 

Post office boxes may be rented; however, the rental process must be started at the USPS PO Boxes website.

Joshua Tree is a small, unincorporated community located in the Mojave Desert of Southern California, within San Bernardino County. It's named after the iconic Joshua trees that dot the landscape, giving the area its unique and otherworldly landscape.

Situated on State Route 62, just north of the west entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, the community shares its western border with Yucca Valley and its eastern border with Twentynine Palms.

The population of Joshua Tree proper is around 6,000, though the greater Joshua Tree area, including nearby communities like Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms, has a significantly larger population. Joshua Tree’s total land area is approximately 37 square miles and covers a vast expanse of desert landscape, offering plenty of space for exploration and solitude.

Morongo Valley is the first high desert community drivers experience when traveling north on State Route 62 from the Palm Springs area. The town is located about 10 miles west of Yucca Valley.

Morongo Valley is relatively small, with a population of around 3,500 residents spread across approximately 40 square miles. This low population density contributes to its wide-open feel.

Experiences

Hiking: Explore the numerous trails in the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, an important wildlife corridor that links the San Gorgonio Wilderness with the San Bernardino National Forest and Joshua Tree National Park.

Relaxing: Spend time relaxing in the shade at Covington Park. Native trees provide ample shade and a peaceful atmosphere while modern play equipment, tennis courts, and a skate park provide recreation. Public restrooms are available.

Pioneertown is an 1880s themed live-in motion picture set established in 1946 for filming western productions. The town’s founders intended for the area to be residential, and today the population hovers around 400. Mane Street still functions as the town’s business district.

The town itself is relatively compact, covering less than a square mile. Mane Street, only a few city blocks in length, is home to various retail stores and numerous false fronts like the bank, bath house, and jail.

Pioneertown is located northwest of Yucca Valley and can be reached by driving north on Pioneertown Road from downtown Yucca Valley. The winding 4-mile drives has been designated a California Scenic Drive.

Events

Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace, the town's iconic music venue, hosts a regular schedule of concerts and events throughout the year.

Local galleries and shops also participate in occasional art walks and open studio events.

Pappy & Harriet's: No trip to Pioneertown is complete without a visit to this legendary honky-tonk. Enjoy live music, delicious BBQ, and cold drinks in a truly unique atmosphere. It's hosted everyone from Paul McCartney to local desert bands.

Explore Mane Street: Stroll down Mane Street and soak in the Old West ambiance. Browse the unique shops, art galleries, and antique stores.

Hiking and Rock Climbing: The surrounding area offers incredible opportunities for outdoor adventure. Explore the trails in Pipes Canyon or venture into Joshua Tree National Park for world-class rock climbing and stunning desert landscapes.

Stargazing: Pioneertown's remote location and minimal light pollution make it an ideal spot for stargazing. On a clear night, the Milky Way stretches across the sky in breathtaking detail.

Located in the Mojave Desert in Southern California, Twentynine Palms is the largest city in San Bernardino County by area, though sparsely populated. It sits at the northern entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.

Roughly 25,000 residents call Twentynine Palms home. The town encompasses 590 square miles, much of which is undeveloped desert landscape. This provides a sense of spaciousness and expansive desert views.

Night Sky Events: Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center hosts an annual Night Sky Festival, several smaller events throughout the year, and a night sky program each month.

29 Palms Certified Farmers Market: Shop fresh, seasonal, and locally grown fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey, and more each Saturday in Freedom Plaza. A variety of local artisans and food and beverage vendors can also be found at the market.   

Annual Desert Rat Convention: Each April a celebration of local history, culture and community is presented by the Twentynine Palms Historical Society. The event includes displays highlighting local history, live music and speakers.

Pioneer Days Celebration: A carnival, a downtown block party, a classic car show, a pet parade and the Pioneer Days Parade all make this an engaging and entertaining event for residents and visitors alike.
