A memorial to all veterans of the armed forces sits alongside the Maine Marathon Tribute March route in Falmouth, Maine, near the city of Portland where the marathon is held each year. Ten Marines from Company B, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, participated in the Tribute March Oct. 4 to honor their friend, Lance Cpl. Drew W. Weaver, a rifleman with Co. B who was killed in Iraq in February 2008.
