Capt. Sheik Faruk, Combat Center Aide-De-Camp, native of Georgetown, Guyana, has served in his current billet for a year. His military occupational specialty is an engineer officer. Josue Funes, Light Armored Vehicle repair technician, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, has practiced martial arts for more than six years and has recently taken up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Yucca Valley Jiu-Jitsu training gym. In his time training, he has learned to never judge a fighter by their size and the importance of a calm mindset. - Cpl.
