Michael Brown, all with Scout Sniper Platoon, Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, rest at the sign at the top of Mount San Jacinto 10,834 feet above Palm Springs, Calif., June 12. The men, who hiked for 12 hours and 40 minutes, went 22 miles with an elevation gain of more than 10,500 feet.
