Memorials for 20 men who gave their lives during 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment's recent deployment to Afghanistan are perfectly aligned at 2/7’s memorial service Dec. 12 at the Combat Center’s Lance Cpl. Torrey L. Gray Field. Fellow Marines hung dog tags over each service member’s rifle and tied a scarf with the colors of the Afghan flag around the buttstock of the Afghan interpreter’s memorial during the ceremonial role call.
