Patrick Perez, Combat Center firefighter, helps a mock casualty away from the scene of an improvised explosive device detonation during an anti-terrorism training exercise taking place at the Combat Center July 14 to 18, 2008. More than a dozen mock casualties fell victim to the attack at Condor Gate, one of the installation’s main access points. Military police, medical personnel and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team were also called to assist during the exercise.
