Sgt. Maj. Susan M. Bellis, Combat Center’s sergeant major, receives the sword of office from Brig. Gen. Charles M. Gurganus, Combat Center commanding general, during the Combat Center’s sergeant major post and relief ceremony at Lance Cpl. Torrey L. Gray Field July 9, 2008. Bellis is the successor of Sgt. Maj. William Johnson Jr. who will be retiring from the Marine Corps after 30 years of active duty service.
