First Lt. Ryan S. Tice, the executive officer of Company A, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, covers the importance of isolating the enemy during the battalion's Tactical Small Unit Leaders Course at Combat Center Range 200 Feb. 9. Tice, a Nutley, N.J. native, said the course is part of a maturation process junior Marines go through when becoming responsible as team leaders.
