Sgt. Maj. William Johnson Jr., outgoing and retiring Combat Center sergeant major, addresses guests and says his final words and goodbyes to the Marines and sailors of the Combat Center during the Combat Center’s sergeant major post and relief ceremony July 9, 2008, at Lance Cpl. Torrey L. Gray Field. Johnson’s successor was Sgt. Maj. Susan M. Bellis, a Boston native who arrive to the Combat Center from Marine Wing Support Group 27 out of Cherry Point, N.C.
