Children at the Armed Services YMCA play with Thelma and Louise, who are desert tortoises’, during a wildlife presentation conducted by the Combat Center’s Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Division April 20, during Earth Week. Chris Ward, the Comprehensive Environmental Training Education Program manager for NREA, said it is important to teach children the importance of staying green.
