Mountain Warfare Instructors from the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., reach the summit of Mt. McKinley May 23, 2014. Mt. McKinley is the highest point in North America at 20,230 feet above sea level. Assigned to the Mountain Warfare Training Group, the team executed the 11-day expedition to validate high altitude-cold weather, small-unit mobility techniques, procedures and equipment. Training expeditions increase Mountain Warfare Instructor proficiency, improving the execution of the Mountain Exercise and the MCMWTC Formal Schools, which contribute to the Marine Corps' ability to conduct military operations in any clime and place. The Denali Team consisted of Capt. Bryan Guiney, Staff Sgt. Jose Ramirez, Sgt. John Nelson, Capt. Seth Miller, Petty Officer 2nd Class Steven Head, Staff Sgt. Benjamin Dible, Sgt. Dylan Hulburt and Sgt. Eric Masters.
