Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1 will conduct a Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation exercise aboard the Combat Center, October 18, 2024.

Marines will simulate the evacuation of non-combatants from a potentially hostile environment. Helicopter and tilt-rotor operations will be conducted over the Combat Center, making multiple landings onto Lance Corporal Torrey L. Gray Field, Del Valle Track and Field and Range 220 between the hours of 3 and 10 p.m.

NEO exercises simulate real-life scenarios where non-combatants need to be evacuated from a potentially hostile area.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, sounds from the training area may be amplified throughout the local area.
