Colonel Bryan K. Grayson

Colonel Grayson is a native of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Graduating with a B.A. in Theology from Piedmont Bible College, he commissioned into the Marine Corps in April 2001.

From 2002-2005, Col Grayson served with 1st Battalion, 3d Marines, commanding a rifle platoon, weapons platoon and Combined Anti-Armor Platoon. His deployments include a platoon deployment, an Okinawa deployment, and one Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).

In 2005, Col Grayson transferred to Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group at Twentynine Palms, CA, where he served as Rifle Company Team Chief, Role Player OIC and Assistant Operations Officer. He then attended Expeditionary Warfare School and Marine Aviation Weapons/Tactics Instructor Course.

In 2009, Col Grayson returned to the fleet to command both a rifle and weapons company in 2d Battalion, 5th Marines, deploying on two MEUs and one company deployment to Afghanistan.

From 2011 to 2014, he served as Inspector Instructor for Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 23d Marines. This was followed by Marine Corps Command and Staff College, where he graduated with a Master of Military Studies.

From 2015 to 2018, Col Grayson served as Battalion Landing Team 2/1’s Executive Officer, Regimental Operations Officer, and Operations Officer for Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC). During this time, he deployed on the 13th MEU and to Kuwait for SPMAGTF.

From 2018 to 2020, he commanded First Battalion, First Marines, deploying to Marine Rotational Force Darwin. Post command, he served as First Marine Division Deputy Operations Officer and then attended National War College in Washington DC, receiving a Master of Science in National Security Strategy.

From 2021 to 2023, he served in the J5, US Special Operations Command. From June 2023 to present, he served as Chief of Operations, Combined Joint Task Force, Operation Inherent Resolve.

His personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal.
