Major General Clingan enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in 1989 and deployed to Operations DESERT SHIELD/STORM in 1990-91 with the 4th Civil Affairs Group. He was commissioned in 1993 through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program after graduating from the American University with a degree in International Studies.

Col Storer entered the Marine Corps June 1989 At MCRD San Diego, CA. Upon completion of boot camp he reported to Marine Corps Ready Reserve unit C Co, 4th Tank Battalion, Boise, Idaho where he was assigned as an 1811 M60 Tank Crewman. During the next year LCpl Storer, with his unit was activated and deployed to take part in Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

Sergeant Major Lopez, a native of Nogales, Arizona, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on December 26, 2000 and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. Following recruit training, he attended Personnel Administration School and was assigned the Military Occupational Specialty 0121 (Personnel Clerk).
