In accordance with Executive Order 13693, Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade, the Public Works Division installed new charging stations for government electric vehicles aboard the Combat Center. The charging stations were tested May 3, 2016 as part of the Combat Center’s initiative to further the installation’s conservation and sustainability efforts. The Combat Center is renowned as the Marine Corps’ premiere training facility. While meeting the needs of visiting units, the installation also utilizes a significant amount of resources while also dedicating to resources to conserving energy, while maintaining the training standards.
