More than 75 Combat Center children attended the Lifestyle Insights Networking Knowledge Skills Combined Armed Exercise for Kids program at Felix Field April 25. The day-long program gives children an understanding of what their active-duty parents do aboard the base and a brief overview of the Marine Corps.

Throughout the day, the children learned about Marine Corps customs, rank structure and the importance of Corps history. They also had the opportunity to climb inside military vehicles, eat pre-packaged military rations and tackle an inflatable obstacle course.

The event was organized to help the children experience what their military parents do for a living and to understand their value as members of the greater Marine Corps family.
